The DC Retirement Board (DCRB) has commenced the 2010 Active Police Officer election process. The election schedule is as follows:

Active Police Officers, as defined in the DCRB Election Rules (download below), includes a member or officer of the Metropolitan Police force who is a participant in the program for Police and Firefighters Retirement and Disability. Cadets are not permitted to cast votes or be nominated for this position. Active Police Officers can vote either by mail ballot or via telephone. The instructions to vote via telephone will be mailed with the ballot and ballot instructions.

Darrick O. Ross: "As current Chairman of the District of Columbia Retirement Board during the last two years of global, economical downturn, trustees, staff and I have successfully managed our Fund, making the portfolio fully funded and safe for our retirment. I would be honored to continue serving us in this capacity."
Terry Whitfield: "I will assure tranparency when applicable to our members. I have more than thirteen (13) years experience serving members of the FOP/MPD Labor Committee. I will to you bring good character, honesty, and integrity."
