The 2015 Retired Firefighter Representative Election to the Board of Trustees Has Commenced

The D.C. Retirement Board (DCRB) has commenced the 2015 Election for an Retired Firefighter representative. The election schedule is as follows:

Drawing of Lots (Placement on Ballot) Candidates ONLY

October 13, 2015

Ballots Mailed

October 19, 2015

Deadline for ballots to be returned and last day to vote via telephone

November 16, 2015

Certification of Results

November 19, 2015

Result Published in the DC Register

December 4, 2015

Challenges to election filed with the Board

December 11, 2015

Election results are final

January 12, 2016

Trustee term begins

January 28, 2016

An Retired Firefighter is defined in the DCRB election rules as follows:

*A "Retired Firefighter" - is a sworn member or officer of the FEMS who has retired under an optional, disability or deferred retirement under the provisions of the program for Police and Firefighters' Retirement and Disability.

Retired Firefighters can vote either by mail ballot or via telephone.
