The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) has mailed letters to 364 annuitants to alert them that their January 1, 2016, annuity payment was issued without a health benefit deduction being taken from the payment. If you are an affected annuitant, please rest assured that your health care coverage is still in effect, despite the missed health benefit deduction. DCRB has alerted health care providers of this administrative error, and we are diligently working to resolve this matter.

For the affected annuitants, the February 1, 2016, annuity payment will include health care premium deductions for both January and February 2016. As a reminder to all annuitants, the new 2016 health care premium rates begin with the February 1, 2016, annuity.
