Chief Investment Officer

The District of Columbia Retirement (DCRB) is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead and manage the agency’s investments program. As a member of DCRB’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the CIO reports to the Executive Director. Primary responsibilities include directing the daily work activities of the Investment staff, and maintaining the financial strength, integrity, and stability of the pension fund’s assets through independent direction and monitoring. 

DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of retirement benefits for over 13,000 retirees and 10,000 members for the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively, Plan members).

The annualized, full-time salary range for this position is $127,413 to $217,364 (DCRB Grade 12). For more information, see the position summary attached below.
