The District of Columbia Retirement (“DCRB”) is seeking a Retirement Services Specialist to gather and review documentation required to support: the payment of death benefits on behalf of deceased retirees/survivors and/or active members; the continuation of health benefit and life insurance coverage; and the continuation of annuity for child survivors who are certified as students under the Police/Firefighters’ and Teachers’ Retirement Plans. The Retirement Services Specialist reviews the employment contribution history and associated documentation of members who are not eligible or are not desirous of a retirement annuity, and are requesting a refund of employee contributions.
DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of benefits for over 14,000 retirees and 10,000, members for the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively “Plan members”).
The annualized full-time salary range for this position is $49,353 -- $80,109 (DCRB Grade 5) and the posting will remain open until filled. For more information, see the position summary attached below.
