George R. Suter, Elected Retired Police Officer Trustee, Announces His Resignation From The Board

The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) regrets to announce that, due to personal reasons, Mr. George R. Suter, the Elected Retired Police Officer Trustee has submitted his letter of resignation effective as of June 18, 2013. Mr. Suter started his term on the Board in 1997, when he replaced Mr. Robert L. Dollard. Mr. Suter served as Chair of the Benefits Committee from 1999 to 2007 and then again from 2009 to present. A plaque and resolution will be presented to him at the July 2013 Open Board of Trustees meeting. All of the members of the Board and DCRB staff wish to congratulate him on his years of service to the Board.

As Mr. Suter’s recent term was set to expire on January 27, 2017, a special election will be held to elect a new Trustee to serve as the Elected Retired Police Officer member of the Board. Details and dates pertaining to the special election will be announced on DCRB's website on Friday, June 28, 2013.
