The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) has a growing list of online calculators to help Plan members estimate their annuities, costs of purchase of service, and more. These easy-to-use tools allow members to enter their data and receive an estimated amount based on that data. New calculators will be added as they are developed.
Retirement Benefits Calculator - The retirement benefits calculator is available for active teachers, police officers, and firefighters and helps you (the Plan member) estimate retirement benefits based on your projected retirement date.
Military Service Calculator - The military purchase of service calculator is available for active police officers and firefighters. It helps you (the Plan member) estimate the cost of purchasing active military service before your hire date.
Tier Change Calculator - The tier change calculator is available for active police officers and firefighters and helps you (the Plan member) estimate the cost of changing your retirement tier.
Redeposit Calculator - The redeposit calculator is available for active teachers, police officers, and firefighters and helps you (the Plan member) estimate the cost of redepositing contributions that were previously refunded, which will restore the applicable creditable service for their prior employment period.
Please be aware the results of these calculations are estimates based on the information Plan members manually enter into the calculators. DCRB doesn't have any liability or obligation, either legal or equitable, to utilize the output as a result of using these calculators, nor can the calculations generated here be relied upon as a promise of eligibility or benefits payable at a certain amount. DCRB will determine retirement eligibility and the final calculations when considering a member’s retirement application at the time of retirement.
