This law was enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress. Title 11 of Public Law 105-33, the "National Capital Revitalization and Self-Government Improvement Act of 1997," defines how the District of Columbia Police Officers and Fire Fighters’ Retirement Fund and the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Fund (the Funds) were split between the Federal and District governments.
