The Investment Team’s internship program will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about Washington D.C.’s public pension fund, the institutional investment industry and to meet investment managers. Interns will have first-hand experience learning about portfolio construction and investment manager due diligence.
(Please note: All qualified applications are encouraged; District of Columbia residency is preferred.)
Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (moving into the third or fourth years of their academic careers) or an MBA. The internship will be part-time (in-person), January through April 2026.
DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of retirement benefits for approximately 15,000 retirees and 10,000 members of the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively “Plan members”). DCRB’s $12 billion investment portfolio is globally diversified and comprises roughly 75 investment firms managing a total of roughly 120 commingled funds and separate accounts across public and private asset classes.
