DCRB is currently seeking a law student to be a summer intern in our legal department. This position will sit with our Senior Investment Funds & Compliance Counsel and focus on all matters related to DCRB’s investment portfolio, including investment contracts, investment policies and procedures, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have excellent legal research and writing skills, as well as some coursework or interest in corporate law, securities law, and administrative law.
The position will be full-time hybrid (three days in office, two remote) during the summer break. The dates for this summer legal internship will be May through early August, though DCRB is flexible on exact start and end dates. There is the potential for this position to extend into a part-time legal externship during the school year. Compensation or school credit may be available.
DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of benefits for approximately 15,000 retirees and 10,000 members of the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively “Plan members”).
