The District of Columbia Retirement Board (Board) has commenced a Special Election for the Active Firefighter Trustee. This is a three-year term starting March 18, 2022 and ending January 27, 2025 and fills the remainder of Edward Smith’s term who retiring from the Board December of 2021.

An Active Firefighter is defined in the DCRB Election Rules as follows:
An "active firefighter" who is a sworn member or officer of the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department ("FEMS").
