The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) is governed by its Board of Trustees, who are fiduciaries of the District of Columbia Police Officers and Fire Fighters’ Retirement Fund and the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Fund (the Funds). The Trustees have fiduciary obligations under the District of Columbia Retirement Reform Act of 1979 and the Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and Teachers Retirement Benefit Replacement Plan Act of 1998, which include a requirement to exercise their responsibilities exclusively in the interests of the beneficiaries and participants with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence as would a prudent expert.
