Upon request, the District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB), your retirement Plan administrator, may reconsider its initial decision regarding one of the following situations:
- Denying a refund of retirement contributions;
- Denying a benefit to you, or
- Denying you the amount you believe is due to you under the Plan.
If you disagree with DCRB's decision, you may appeal in writing by completing the form, below, or by attaching a statement to the completed form. The U.S. Treasury’s Office of DC Pensions (ODCP) and DCRB will both consider your appeal, if your benefits are split, (service before and after June 1997). ODCP’s appeal rules are at 31 CFR §29.405 and DCRB’s appeal rules are at D.C. Code §1-751(d).
