Edward C. Smith was declared the winner of the 2016 Active Firefighter Election
On December 15, 2016, the District of Columbia Retirement Board certified the results of the uncontested Active Firefighter election and declared that Edward C. Smith, an active District of Columbia firefighter, would be named as Active Firefighter Trustee on the Board. The Notice of Public Interest will be published in the DC Register on December 23, 2016.
