The District of Columbia Retirement Board (“DCRB”) is seeking a Retirement Analyst to calculate and process various retirement benefits for Plan members of the Police/Firefighters’ and Teachers’ Retirement Plans and their survivors. Primary responsibilities of the Retirement Analyst include calculating retirement estimates and death benefits, and, where required, handling benefit recalculations. The Retirement Analyst also is responsible for managing an assigned caseload each pay period to ensure payments are made within the first sixty-day period of receiving a member’s request for benefits.
The Retirement Analyst role requires an in-depth knowledge of the System to Administer Retirement (STAR) or a comparable pension/payroll system to administer defined benefit plans.
DCRB is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of benefits for over 14,000 retirees and 10,000, members for the District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan (collectively “Plan members”).
The annualized full-time salary range for this position is $56,333 - $91,438 (DCRB Grade 6), and the posting will remain open until filled. For more information, see the position summary attached below.
